The Boundary Mural project is putting new murals in Sandtown (at Fulton and Lorman Streets) and in Gardens of Hope (at Dolphin and Ettings Streets). The mural project is part of the second annual Boundary Block Party. The Boundary Block Party is an annual event to bring together Upton, Bolton Hill and Sandtown to share and celebrate their cultures. At the block party attendees made ceramic tiles about what they wanted for their community. The tiles are installed next to the painted imagery. The mural project is supported by Jubilee Arts, Baltimore Clayworks, Maryland Institute College of Art, Resident Actions Committee, Upton Planning Committee, and Midtown Community Benefits District. The mural project is made possible by a grant from the Baltimore Community Foundation. |
